The 2026 China Chongqing Motorcycle Sports Super Series “Lingyun Cup” Motocross Track Race (Dazu Round) successfully concluded at the Chongqing Dazu High-tech Zone Off-road Racing Circuit. This competition brought together over seventy riders from various regions to compete on the same track, with riders in each class flying over jumps and cornering on the undulating off-road course, engaging in fierce battles.
The Screw-Tightening Racing Team under TAIMU MOTO also participated in this round of the competition, ultimately taking one gold, one silver, and one bronze—a remarkably impressive result.
This team is different from other professional teams. The only officially seeded professional rider in the team is Yang Songyi; the other members are ordinarily frontline workers on the factory production line, doing jobs like tightening screws, assembly, and loading vehicles. Put plainly, on the job they hold wrenches and screwdrivers, assembling bikes piece by piece on the assembly line; after work, they put on racing suits and helmets and become riders on the track. They understand bikes because they build them themselves, hammer and wrench in hand; they dare to fight because that drive of frontline workers is in their bones.
At the Dazu Round, the team performed very well overall. Yang Songyi was in top form, steady throughout, first taking the Elite Class championship; then he raced in the New Energy Class and, with consistent performance, took second place. The team’s frontline technical rider Qin Daijie, facing a host of strong competitors in the Newcomer Class, kept his composure and battled round after round, ultimately taking third place in the Newcomer Class.
Throughout the race, the team members relied on their familiarity with the bike’s performance to adjust the vehicle’s setup themselves and control the race pace. Complex conditions such as steep slopes, jumps, and sharp turns were handled with relative ease.
The Dazu Round concluded successfully. The TAIMU MOTO Craftsmanship Racing Team, with hands that ordinarily tighten screws, achieved extraordinary results. In the future, the team will continue to uphold the spirit of craftsmanship, training through competition and promoting skills through competition, while polishing product quality and continuing to compete in various events, constantly setting new race results.
